RUSLAN PROVODNIKOV BEGINS TRAINING CAMP TODAY FOR MIKE ALVARADO SHOWDOWN

World Ranked Ruslan Provodnikov began training camp today at the Wild Card Gym to start his preparation for his October 19th clash with WBO Jr. Welterweight champion Mike Alvarado that will take place in Denver and will be seen Live on HBO.

Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KO’s) arrived in Los Angeles last week and did promotional activities with Alvarado which included the taping of the popular “Face to Face “program. Today he started full force with Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach and world class strength and conditioning coach Gavin McMillian.

Ruslan Provodnikov has landed in Los Angeles to begin training camp for his much anticipated showdown with WBO Jr. Welterweight champion Mike Alvarado that will take place on Saturday, October 19th at First Bank Arena in Denver, Colorado.

The bout will be live on HBO’s Championship boxing and is promoted by Top Rank and Banner Promotions.

Los promotores del púgil Ruslan Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KO’s) sometieron una protesta a la OMB y a la Comisión Atlética de California para obtener una revancha inmediata ante el campeón welter de la OMB, Tim Bradley (30-0, 12 KO’s).Y es que la razón es que según estos debió haber contando como caída la caída que sufrió Bradley en el primer asalto la cual fue contada como el referee como resbalon .

En este combate Bradley derroto a Ruslan por decisión unánime.

Bradley se lleva el favor de los jueces contra Provodnikov

Una caída en el primer asalto que no la anotaron oficialmente, pudo ser lo que le dió la victoria por decisión unánime al estadounidense, Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KO’s) sobre el ruso, Ruslan Provodnikov (22-2, 15KO’s) en combate celebrado en el Home Depot Center de Carson, California.

El ruso comenzó el combate conectado potentes golpes sobre Bradley, a quien puso en muy mal estado en el primero y segundo asalto. Bradley, quien supo recuperarse de los golpes recibidos, pudo comenzar a usar su boxeo y rapidez para ir sumando puntos a su favor.

En el último asalto, Ruslan logró poner en mal estado a Bradley, enviándolo a la lona. Las tarjetas de los jueces fueron a favor de Bradley 114-113, 115-112 y 114-113. Con la victoria, Bradley hace su primera defensa del cinturón welter de la OMB, el cual le arrebató a Manny Pacquiao en junio de 2012.

Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12 KOs) retained his WBO welterweight title defeating Ruslan Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KOs) by a twelve round unanimous decision in an unexpected brawl. The first round was fought at close range with Provodnikov getting the better of it by landing a stiff right hand that dazed Bradley towards the end of the round.
