Chris Algieri sorprende a Ruslan Provodnikov

El ahora ex campeón súper ligero de la OMB, Ruslan Provodnikov no pudo encontrar el ritmo de pelea adecuado para contrarrestar el alcance del ahora campeón súper ligero de la OMB, Chris Algieri.

Algieri derroto a Provodnikov por decisión dividida luego de sobre ponerse de dos caídas en el primer asalto.

Provodnikov salio como de costumbre agresivo e incluso envió a la lona a Algieri con una potente izquierda pero este pudo ponerse de pie aunque con una seguidilla de golpes del ruso este volvió a visitar la lona.

Fuera de las dos caídas en el primer asalto el ruso no mostro calidad de campeón perdiendo luego del segundo asalto la mayoría de los asaltos.

Algieri por su parte con el ojo derecho visiblemente maltrecho luego del potente golpe en el primer asalto que lo hizo visitar la lona pudo emplearse al maximo y acumular en las tarjetas de los jueces siendo el púgil mas ocupado y mas certero en el transcurso de los asaltos.

Las tarjetas oficiales fueron 117-109 para Provodnikov y 114-112 en dos tarjetas para Algieri.
El combate fue celebrado en el Barclay Center en Brooklyn, New York.
